Prom in Indiana & Colorado

I was in Indiana on Saturday and got to see my sister Erin's Prom grand march.

Fun in the Sun...

This morning before church...today my boys were the only ones in the nursery...which is odd because there are usually about 8 at the 9:00 service...

Today was so incredibly beautiful...we worked out in the yard and the boys played...as you can see...Chase found a mud whole and was LOVING it!!!

Oh...and he loves his new baseball cap! It helps so much with his light sensitivity...he actual looked up!

Peyton was all about mommy's bucket...he was trying to get some leaves that we stuck in the bottom...

Still working on those leaves...

He had just thrown a rock into the mud puddle...and was telling us that it was all gone...

Milestones

I forgot to mention that we have had some milestones here recently...

Chase - has decided to tell us (and then actually go) when he needs to poopy!! Yeah...this had cut down on diapers considerably...I bought some pull ups so we'll see how it goes...he's also getting close to saying 2 words at a time. He says please, thank you, and welcome and likes playing with his brother "Pety."

Peyton - is running full speed ahead these days...he likes to run and climb and playing with the puppy. He can say just about anything as far as "toddler words" and likes to tell mommy peas, tant to, and woecome. Yesterday he climbed onto the couch by himself for the first time...he is eating big people food almost exclusively and (sniffle, sniffle) he has taken himself off the bottle. It has now been 2 whole days since he had a bottle and he is thrilled with his "jus" cup!

They both absolutely love music, dancing, and animals of all kinds...Matt and I are planning to take them to a zoo sometime this summer...that should be fun for us all (cause Mommy and Daddy probably want to see the animals more than them! :)

Hungry Little Hippo

My boys never cease to amaze me...about a month ago, Peyton decided he was a big boy and started sleeping all night...now Chase has decided that he doesn't want to sleep all night all the time...only sometimes. Chase used to eat, and eat, and eat...now it's a struggle to get him to eat...and guess what? Now Peyton is eating like a horse! Yesterday for lunch he had 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich and some potato soup...I made Tuna Helper for dinner and he ate a good bunch of that...They were napping at the same time but Peyton has decided he wants to nap from 10-12 and Chase naps from 12-2...ugh! Hopefully I can get them napping at the same time again because this really cuts into the day!! Plus, mommy doesn't get any "alone" time if they don't nap together! Well--sounds like Peyton is awake a little early, best go get him!

What a Beautiful Day!

Today was so beautiful! It didn't get quite as warm as orgininally thought...but we still enjoyed it. Matt played in a golf scramble at the club this morning...the boys and I went to church. After naps we took them to the playground...but not for long because the wind was really cool. I made chicken parmasean for supper and then we all watched "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi." Now Chase is watching "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" with Johnny Depp. There's not too much excitement here...oh wait...yes there is!!! Chase has started going pee pee and poopy on the BIG potty!! We are sooo excited! Chase is doing fairly well with his vocabulary...still trying really hard to make some noises. Peyton now has 8 teeth and is eating almost all big people food. He is talking quit a bit...today he even tried to put two words together...ju peas (juice please)...he also says tant to (thank you). His new word for this week was bubble. We went to my friend Mindy's this week to play and she had a bubble machine that just spews out bubbles instead of you having to blow them...they both absolutely loved it! And they enjoyed playing with Calvin and Gabe! Here are some pictures I took today...
