Mommy's Outta Here!

I just wanted to take a minute and let everyone know that Mommy is flying the coup tonight!! I'm going to Western for a play...The Producers...it's the off-broadway traveling group so it should be very good! I'm taking Matt's loan secretary, Shelley, with me! I'm pretty excited...we've met a couple of times and I really like her...we have a lot in common (which Matt constantly reminds me of). Daddy is staying home with the boys tonight...he told the girls at the bank that they are going to call girls and hang up! :) He's such a goober! Anyway...I'll let you all know how the play was!!

Oops...almost forgot...the YMCA is on hold while I nurse my toe...I was running up the stairs yesterday and jammed my big toe...really, really, bad...it is still throbbing...especially with the shoes I'm wearing tonight...but I will not sacrifice fashion for comfort!!! ;)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! The boys seemed to enjoy their Easter baskets this morning! We had Chase look outside this morning...and wouldn't you know that darned old Easter bunny left baskets for him and "Pay-ty"...Of course I included some pictures...we went to first service at church this morning and then enjoyed lunch at the country club after...we had to skip the Easter bunny and egg hunt though...it was too cold (they both have runny noses) and they were so very tired...enjoy the pictures!

We found something that looks like a ball...mommy says their eggs though.

Time to unload this thing...can I please eat some?

Too busy to care if mommy and daddy are even here.

Ooo...ball? There's something in it mom (yeah...he calls me mom...no more mama and he can't say mommy)

Stuff

Hello everyone...sorry no pictures today...I dyed some easter eggs for Chase and this morning he put stickers on them...he thought it was lots of fun...we had several errands to run including a trip to Walmart (of course)...the boys enjoy it though because they get out of the house and get to see new faces. Today Mommy bought an MP3 player...I wasn't going to...however, I am starting to walk further and it gets quite boring with no music or anything. So, I've already got it charged and 55 songs downloaded on it...little bit of old school rap, classic rock, 80's pop/rock, some Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry...and a lot of country! The boys are still napping (or at least one of them...someone is awake playing--I can hear him). Anyway...I went to Yoga twice this week...it will be every Tuesday & Thursday for 2 months...I'm also walking at least 2 times a week if not 3. So, this weekend is going to be a bit hectic...the boys have gymnastics tomorrow morning and we have family pictures at 4:00...then on Sunday, church at 9, brunch at the club at 11, and an easter egg hunt with the easter bunny at 1215...then we'll finally get them naps...hopefully they'll make it without being grumpy!! I'm excited that this is their first Easter...I've had their baskets ready all week! Hope everyone has a very happy Easter!!!

Quick Trip to Indiana

Well...you haven't heard from me because we had to make a quick trip to Indiana. We left on Thursday morning and came back Saturday afternoon. I had to go see Dr. Frances but most importantly--get my hair done!! Seriously though...things still aren't quite healed from my hysterectomy so I needed to go visit my Doctor. But I thought since I was already home wouldn't it be great if my stylist Tara could work me in?! And she did...which ended up being perfect because she ended up having 2 cancellations...so we got to have a great visit! We also got to see Mamaw & Papaw Raber, Auntie "Fefie" (Stephanie) and WoWo (Logan) before they left for Florida...Great Grandma Miller, and Great Aunts Shirt (Shirley) and Jocee (Jo Ann). My old neighbor Lisa was nice enough to turn the heat up at Grandma Lela's house so it would be warm for the boys when we got there...she and her husband Galen and their daughter Kianna (Chase's buddy) came over for a visit...and of course Grandma Karla and Aunties Erin & Alison came to see us too. My best friend's mom Anita (my very good friend --and other mother) came out and brought "my other sister's kids" (Leslie), Aundreya & Alayna...Chase loves Alayna very much and says her name all the time! We didn't get to see Aunt Leslie this trip because she works very long hours as a lab technician at a hospital almost an hour away from Odon. Now that I've bored everyone with "role call" I wanted to let you all know that I plan on being back in Odon on (or around) April 25 through May 2nd. I wanted to stay for several days so we can see everyone and have longer visits with them...I'll need to see the Dr. again, and the boys need Well Baby check ups and immunizations so I thought we would see their Dr. in Indiana one more time before I transfer their records.

We Had a Birthday Party!

Peyton's birthday was actually Friday, March the 7th...but Mamaw & Papaw & Aunt Stephanie & Logan came to see us on Saturday...so that's when we celebrated. The balloons were the hit of the party! Peyton said, "Ooooh, ball!"
Peyton got his fingers in the icing when we were trying to blow out the candles...at first he just looked at it...Mommy had to help him taste it.

Peyton's very own piece of cake...I ended up just putting it on his high chair tray (should've in the first place)...he absolutely loved it...saying "mmmm, mmmm...momma....bite..."

He thought it was so good he needed to share it with Mamaw...he gave her lots of bites! He gave mommy some bites too.

This one is my favorite...he knows that today it's all about him! He ate every bit of cake (that wasn't stuck to him) and some ice cream too!

This is where it gets funny...we've been trying to teach him to hold up one finger and tell us he is 1...but Chase is 2 and he hears us saying 2 with him...sooooo, he says he is 2 and holds up almost 3 fingers!!!

Present time! Peyton loved opening his presents. He of course wanted to play with the paper and the boxes...but he had lots of fun...Peyton got Chase a coloring book and some water color paints and his cousin Logan a Golden Book about fire trucks...he didn't want them to be left out.

This is the truck that Grandma Lela & Grandpa Don got for him...He got 2 t-shirts from Mamaw & Papaw...they said "Naturally Sweet-no sugar added" and "Daddy's Big Helper (will work for cookies)"...he got a savings bond from Grandma Karla, Uncle Brett, Aunties Erin & Alison...and Mommy and Daddy got him a new ball, shirt, & shorts. Not too bad for such a little squirt, huh? We had so much fun visiting with everyone and wish it could've been longer...but at least we got to see everyone!!!

Peyton's Happy Birthday

Hey...well the boys and I spent the morning shopping for birthday presents and wrapping paper...then had lunch with Daddy. After I put them down for a nap, I wrapped presents...called to double check on the cake...I'll have to pick it up in the morning. We will have his party tomorrow after Grandma and Grandpa get here for their visit. Looking forward to seeing them...so check back this weekend, I should have pictures from the "unwrapping" and cake-playing!!

YMCA

Daddy makes for a great snuggle buddy...Rascal was mad cause he wanted to lay with Daddy...but of course, Peyton wins!

And...here's my boys! Chase always makes this face if he knows you are going to take a picture...this is what he looks like when he says "cheese"...I just can't believe how big they are both getting...and that Peyton will be 1 tomorrow!! Grandma & Grandpa are coming this weekend for a visit so we're having a birthday party Saturday afternoon. I ordered a cake and I'm still working on the present situation...I did get a new short-sleeve onesie & some khaki shorts...but I still need to get a couple of toys.
We started going to the YMCA this week...I've walked 2 1/2 miles and done my knee exercises (I've got very weak knees)...the boys love playing in the nursery...there are always several other babies/kids and the girls that work there are awesome...we're going to start going everyday...I plan to walk on M,W,F and I'm starting Yoga on T, TH...it's so exciting...we've never had the opportunity for something like this before. Matt and I are also going to take the boys to "Rumble Tumble" gymnastics on Saturday AMs...it's only for a 1/2 hour...I think they'll love it! Life is good!
